“How do you know you know God?” is the challenge – “can you prove it?” This and many other questions are posed as the discussion between two people continues throughout this entire book. In the first part of the discussion the subject is whether it is actually possible to have a relationship with God – “God with us? So you are saying that because God wanted to have a relationship with us he came down to earth to be with us?” The second section then goes into specific detail about the author’s personal relationship with God – “Relationships are not always easy and when God challenges me it is not comfortable but it is necessary.”
Each chapter starts with part of the conversation and then proceeds to explain the subject under discussion in more detail. A wide range of subjects are covered in the first part in order to show that God has done everything necessary so that we can have a personal relationship with him. The questions which arise in the continuing discussion are all based on the author’s personal experience – the book includes many questions she has asked herself and questions she has been asked by others. The message is clear that it is possible for you to know God because he has done everything necessary for this and shown beyond any doubt how much he loves you.
The book is based firmly on the Bible and the author writes in such a way as to provoke interest and to simplify what some might see as a complicated matter – that of knowing God. If it is possible for me, then it is possible for you, is the message of her book.

Being asked to prove that you know God seems to be nearly impossible when you first are asked to prove it, but Margaret Weston in How Do I Know I Know God? does an excellent job of laying out a decisive answer. Margaret opens each chapter with a dialogue, similar to that which Socrates used in his discussions, and then after each, shows the biblical references which coincide with the discussion in a way that anyone could understand. In the first part of the book, Margaret discusses the evidence that has been given to us through history and scripture and in the second part she gives personal testimony to her own relationship with God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Each chapter zeroes in on answering specific questions related to God's existence as He revealed Himself in His creation, as well as through His written word, but it goes deeper into the evidence collaborated by witnesses, of which Margaret is one.
Being able to explain how you know God often strikes a Christian with a sudden profound silence or something which is similar to how a mother answers a toddler when he asks why. However, in How I know I know God? Margaret Weston helps to provide ready answers to that question. By beginning each chapter with a dialogue, she helps the Christian who is struggling to answer the question to take a step by step approach by answering each part of the question, rather than trying to answer the big question. About the Author
Margaret Weston is the author of the ‘How do I know?’ series and the BSBP series -Bible Studies for Busy People. The ‘How do I know?’ series arose from a desire to answer the many questions that Margaret has been asked by friends about God. It also includes many questions she has had in her own mind over the years. Margaret enjoyed successful careers in banking and management consultancy until 1998. Since then however she has been able to pursue other interests, take more time to study the Bible and obtain a degree in theology with London University. She is involved in voluntary work with her local church and in the community and is now a passionate supporter of the work of Tearfund. All profit from Margaret’s writing is donated to charity and profit from the ‘How do I know?’ series is donated specifically to Tearfund. Back to the basics - simple and easy to read

This book started to seem a lot like it was meant to be high school kids but I had to remind myself that we all need a bit of reminding that we need faith like a child and we're never beyond learning so I continued to read. It reads as a nice testimony and conversation about the Christian faith - although I'd read most of these thoughts in various other books while younger, it was nice to learn from the perspective of someone new.

A wonderful Christian book

This is a very well written Christian book with a unique format and starting premise. Although the inspiration and insight is very mature and enlightening it is written in a style that is simple and accessible. A joy to read while saying much that Christians and non-Christians need to think about and bring into their lives through personally knowing God through Jesus Christ.

Thought provoking and filling

This book is just spectacular it answered a lot of questions I had. I just enjoyed it to the fullest, it was a pleasure reading this book, it taught me many things concerning my walk with the Lord, I wish everyone save or seeking a saviour would read this book.
